The direct-track course sits above this one, for students with a solid school base aiming at the top 5% and beyond — its outline follows the same four question families at contest depth. The placement test decides which course a student enters.

The stated aim of the course is a foundation that outlasts the contest: systematic thinking, logical reasoning and the habits that make the next paper — AMC 10, in time — a step rather than a wall. The contest result is the by-product of doing that properly.
