Two seasons with a headline that still stands: every member of IEO Team China was a Hanlin student, and the team's world #5 total was the best Chinese result in three years. Around it, an Outstanding-plus-NCTM HiMCM paper and a CNEC global grand slam.

Mathematics
- AMC2022–23: 137 AIME qualifications at 56%, with 89 in the global top 5%, 37 in the top 1% and 25 students above 130; AMC 8 put 22 in the top 5%
- AIME19 students at 8 or above, a high of 14, and ten reaching the USA(J)MO index
- Euclid2022: 96 Distinctions at 75%, seven students on 90–93; 2023: 165 Distinctions at 70%, with 63 above 80
- Waterloo & KangarooGauss 2022: 12 of 22 Grade-7 entrants above 100; Kangaroo 2023: 4 Super Golds and 34 medals
- UKMTSMC 2023: 6 Golds, 2 Silvers, 2 Bronzes; IMC 2022: two Golds
- ARML & DMMARML 2022: a team in the global top 100 with a national team Gold, plus an individual national top-100; DMM 2022 placed students in the individual top 10%
Physics & modelling
- Physics Bowl2022: two students in the global top 10; 2023: one in the global top 5
- BPhO2022: nineteen Round 1 Super Golds; 2023: twenty Super Golds and 24 Golds, then four global Silvers and two Bronzes at Round 2
- PUPC & IAACPUPC 2022: eleven global awards including a top-12 finish; IAAC 2023: a global Gold and first in the China region
- BAAO2023: a Silver and a Bronze
- HiMCM2022: an Outstanding paper that also took the NCTM Winner award — one of only two in the world — with 6 Finalists behind it; 2023: 5 Finalist, 6 Meritorious, 12 Honorable Mention
- IMMC2023: six teams promoted, three shortlisted for the international Outstanding award; MCM 2023 added a Meritorious
Chemistry & biology
- UKChO2022: twenty Golds; 2023: twenty-two
- CanadaCCC 2022: 31 excellence awards — the top 10% — with 8 national Golds; 2023: 8 excellence awards and 8 Golds. CCO 2022: two global Silvers and seven Bronzes; 2023: a national Super Gold
- USABO/BBO2022: 49 USABO and 51 BBO Golds with 27 double Golds; 2023: 37 and 49 Golds with 20 doubles
- Brain Bee2023: two national first prizes, with 33 students promoted from the regionals
- Medicine & healthIMDO 2023: four students selected for the Chinese national team; HOSA: first nationally in emergency preparedness in both 2022 and 2023
Computing, business & economics
- USACO2021–22: 8 Platinum, 29 Gold, 53 Silver; 2022–23: 10 Platinum, 29 Gold and 71 Silver promotions
- FBLA2021–22: a 100% qualifying-round promotion rate with the national #1 and #5 in Business Plan; 2022–23: twenty leadership-conference invitations and two teams in the national top two, promoted globally
- Diamond Challenge2021–22: third in the world in the Business track; 2022–23: national #1 at both the Nanjing and Shenzhen semifinals
- BPA2021–22: the highest national award in Business Law & Ethics; 2022–23: a global #1 in Digital Marketing and a Financial Analyst Team in the global top 10
- IEO2022: all five Team China members were Hanlin students — one Gold, three Silvers, a Bronze, and fifth in the world on team total, the best Chinese result in three years; 2023: second on team total at the national selection camp
- CNEC2022: a global #1 David Ricardo team total and quiz-bowl runner-up, with 46 team awards nationally; 2023: a global grand slam — AS team total, economics assessment and macroeconomics round all #1
Humanities, writing & research
- John Locke2022: 45 shortlisted and twelve prizes, ten of them High Commendations; 2023: 108 shortlisted
- HIR2022: over half of entrants through to the finals, fourteen global awards — 4 Gold, 4 Silver, 6 Bronze — and a 100% finals award rate; 2023: a spring-round Silver
- IOL2023: one student selected for the Canadian national team from the advanced division
- ISEF & STSISEF 2022–23: Finalist placings of three first prizes, two seconds and six fourths with eight special awards; STS Top-300 scholars in New York, Virginia and New Jersey across the two cycles
- Yau Award2022: five finalists and 25 semifinal awards; 2023: seventeen finalists and 57 semifinal awards
- Research & campsCTB 2022–23: six papers accepted, three teams to the global forum and an editor's pick in the global top 4%; CWSF a Gold; Ross, SUMaC, AwesomeMath and Mathcamp offers across both years
