How should a student choose a first competition?+
Start from the student's strongest subject and school stage. Entry-level papers such as AMC 8, UKMT junior challenges or Math Kangaroo suit younger students; olympiad-track and research programmes suit students with established foundations. Hanlin's advisors match students to a realistic ladder of events.
Which grades are these competitions for?+
The catalogue spans primary through senior secondary. Many series publish junior and senior divisions — AMC, UKMT and the science olympiad families all offer age-banded papers.
Does Hanlin handle registration?+
For many programmes, yes. Hanlin is presented on its Chinese website as an AMC-China authorised test point and publishes further test-centre credentials, including the IOL-China open round.
Is Hanlin affiliated with the competition organisers?+
No such affiliation should be assumed. Hanlin provides education and preparation services; rules, eligibility and deadlines should always be confirmed with each organiser.
What results have Hanlin students achieved?+
Hanlin's published record includes more than thirty national team and training-camp selections between 2019 and 2026, across nine olympiad fields, and a combined award rate above 85% in AMC, USACO and related STEM competitions.
