Earn credits — and, where needed, a full transcript and diploma — from an accredited US online high school while staying enrolled at your current school. Hanlin runs the programme as the authorised platform of South Hills Academy's online school (SOA), alongside its own College Board AP school status, CEEB code 000147.
The logic
Why a US transcript changes the reading.
US admissions put academic performance first, and GPA is the floor of that reading — but the same GPA is weighed differently by school background. The published pattern at the top: for Top-20 universities GPA is necessary but not sufficient; around Top-30 it is the fighting range; and for Top-30-to-50, a US high-school transcript is a visible competitive edge, because admissions officers read the US grading system natively.

Three routes
How credits convert, case by case.
The programme runs three published conversion models. Which one applies depends on what the student has already done and what the application needs.
Retrospective conversion
Work already done in Hanlin AP or competition courses, at qualifying standard, is converted: complete the system's requirements and the official transcript follows.
Synchronous conversion
Enrol in a Hanlin course and the transcript track together - one body of work, both outcomes, requirements completed in parallel.
US high-school AP courses
Take AP courses inside the US high-school system itself, sit the College Board exam, and the course lands on the transcript with the credit.

Is the diploma recognised by US universities?
The programme operates as the authorised online platform of South Hills Academy, an accredited US school, and its published record includes graduates admitted to universities such as Yale, Columbia and UC Berkeley. Credits and diplomas carry the school's accreditation.
Does my child have to leave their current school?
No - that is the point. The programme runs in spare time alongside the existing enrolment, with flexible entry dates.
How is online teaching quality controlled?
Small classes taught by experienced US-curriculum teachers - the programme states 95% hold master's degrees or above - in a live-plus-recorded format, with a learning-mentor team tracking each student's progress. The programme's published outcomes: 95% of students at GPA 4.0+, and 90% admitted to US Top-50 universities.
What is weighted GPA, and why does it matter here?
Plain GPA treats every A the same; weighted GPA credits harder courses more, so an A in AP Calculus counts above an A in regular mathematics. AP courses on a US transcript are how a student raises the weighted number.
Who is this not for?
A student thriving at a school whose transcript already reads well has no need of it. The programme earns its keep where the current transcript will undersell the student to the universities they want.
