US high-school tutoring, one student at a time.

For students inside the American high-school system, Hanlin runs fully individual tutoring: a bespoke study plan for every learner, and a tutor team that tracks progress week by week. GPA is the spine of a US application — the synchronous courses keep it strong while the AP years build on top.

Course selection, GPA weighting, and the competitions that sit alongside a US transcript.

  • International curriculum tutoring

IB, AP, A-Level, IGCSE and the US high school curriculum, taught alongside school and timed around the exam calendar.

  • Competition past papers, free

FAQ

US high school, briefly answered.

What families in the American system ask first.

What does a US high-school transcript need?

A strong GPA across four years, course rigour that steps up through Honors and AP levels, and consistency — universities read the whole arc, not a single season.

How do regular, Honors and AP courses differ?

They form a rigour ladder: regular courses cover the standard syllabus, Honors deepens it, and AP reaches university level with credit-bearing examinations. The plan sequences all three.

Can Hanlin teach across US time zones?

Yes — one-to-one scheduling adapts to the student's school calendar and time zone, online, alongside the in-person centres in China.

Can a US high-school student apply to UK universities?

Yes — full-time US high-school students apply to Oxbridge and the G5 with AP scores and admissions tests; Hanlin coaches both sides of that route.

How does this connect to AP?

The synchronous courses keep the GPA strong while AP courses build the rigour on top — the AP page carries the timetable and the 78% five-rate cohort.
